P.V. Lund

(1801 - 1880)

Danish Zoologist and Botanist. Travelled in Brazil 1833-35 together with the German botanist Riedl, settled at the small town of Lagoa Santa Minas Geraes where he remained in Brazil to his death. Mainly known for his basic research on the fossil fauna in the limestone caves of Minas Geraes, but also important as a botanist and botanical collector.
